Once you land, our team will pick you up and stop at the local grocery store if you would like any last minute items then take you just a few minutes drive to the secluded lodge to get settled in. This seamless process is part of what makes a stay at our luxury fishing lodge in Alaska so convenient and rewarding.

Absolutely. Our chef can work with most dietary restrictions. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Fishing Experience
Depending on the season, we target a variety of species every day of your fishing adventure, including Halibut, king salmon, coho salmon, lingcod, yelloweye rockfish, black rockfish, Truecod and more. Our location in Craig, Alaska, gives us prime access to the bountiful waters of Southeast Alaska, offering a well-rounded sportfishing experience.
We specialize in mooching for salmon, a hands-on and highly effective technique that allows you to connect directly with the action. We also troll for King Salmon and jig for the bottom fishing methods depending on the target species and water conditions. We pride ourselves on catching limits each day with conservation in mind and take the best care of your catch so you can enjoy the best tasting seafood on the planet. We emphasize conservation, quality, and excitement with fast action fishing, making it perfect for those seeking an authentic Alaska fishing experience.
Each year, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) determine the regulations for the number and size of species, such as halibut and king salmon, that can be retained. These rules are based on ongoing assessments of the abundance and health of shared West Coast fish stocks.
While we can’t control the regulations, we can guarantee this: there are always plenty of fish to catch each day with a variety of species. And at Screamin’ Reels Lodge, our goal is to send each guest home with a full 50-pound box—or more—of professionally processed, flash-frozen fish. It’s a highlight of many Alaska fishing trips and a lasting reminder of your time here.
Our season runs from late May through early September. King salmon show up early right after the big herring spawn in late spring, while coho are more prevalent mid to later in the summer. Halibut and bottomfish fishing is fantastic all throughout our season. We’ll help you time your trip based on your fishing priorities.
For Families & First-Timers
Yes. We welcome anglers of all skill levels, from first-timers to seasoned pros. Our guides and we provide fully trained deckhands that are very friendly, patient and knowledgeable, making it easy to learn and enjoy each day on the water with us. An Alaska fishing trip with Screamin’ Reels is a great bonding experience for couples, friends, and families.
Alaska Wildlife & Scenery
The Alaska wilderness isn’t just beautiful—it’s alive. Guests can expect to see bald eagles, sea otters, humpback whales, orcas, Sitka black-tailed deer, and black bears daily—sometimes from the lodge and often while fishing. The lodge has a salmon stream just down the beach which attracts black bears starting in June as the salmon wait for fall rain to spawn. You will enjoy watching the eagles and black bears walk the beaches and feed on the fish from the private dock or while you sit by the campfire overlooking the waterfront. If Alaska wildlife is part of your dream trip, this is the place to be and make sure you bring your camera!
